School Based Health Centers

Waterfall Clinic School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) provide community members with access to critical services that are designed to keep them healthy, in school, and ready to learn.

Our SBHCs are staffed by qualified medical professionals and focuses on preventing illness and promoting healthy behaviors. Our team provides prevention education to help young people take responsibility for their health and encourage teachers and parents to support healthy outcomes.

  • Improve access to quality physical, mental and preventive health services
  • Care for children and adolescents regardless of their ability to pay
  • Reduce high costs associated with inappropriate use of emergency rooms and unnecessary hospitalizations
  • Ensure services are age appropriate

Keep students in class and engaged in learning

Our services include:

  • Diagnosing and treating injury, illness and disease
  • Comprehensive physical exams and sports physicals
  • Well child checks
  • Screenings
  • Immunizations
  • Mental or behavioral health services
  • Referrals to specialty services as needed
  • Educate students and family members
  • Management of chronic illnesses
  • Coordinate access to health resources
  • Provide a link between the pediatrician and student/family
  • Tobacco prevention
  • Provide immediate assistance for students in mental health crisis
  • Provide outpatient therapy for students with chronic mental health conditions
  • Provide assessment and evaluation for previously undiagnosed or suspected mental or behavioral health conditions

No student is denied services. Insurance is billed when possible yet no student is turned away based on inability to pay for services.
